The Kill Box: A Temporary Zone of Slaughter

Based on an UTNE article, Michael Ryan Wood and I designed three spreads that evoke the grave reality that is Drone warfare. The design progresses from a bird's eye view, to a ground-level view, to a personal view, dehumanizing the subjects in the same way that drones do in modern warfare.

"In wars past, in order to enter another country we had to storm a beach... Now we can easily fly a drone across any country's border. This disbanding of the traditional boundaries of warfare has made war more of a hunting game than a battle of opposing sides."
